Grace and Glory Riders
Welcome
Grace and Glory Riders is the therapeutic branch of RHRC. Our goal is to enhance and contribute to the healing of those with physical, social, or emotional challenges through equine activities. Equine Assisted Therapy also gives the individual a sense of self-accomplishment and improved human and animal interaction.
Benefits in one area of an individual’s development often cross over into benefits in other areas of an individual’s life. By offering personal control of tone’s own mobility or getting someone outdoors to an area otherwise inaccessible, horses can often equalize the “playing field”. These achievements can bring about positive changes in both emotional and behavioral attitudes.
Activities offered through Grace and Glory Riders also provide the participant with a new change of environment. With the aide of the horse, many individuals respond better within this new environment, giving them a fresh start, so to speak.
The movement of the horse is rhythmical and multi-dimensional, this helps postural control and balance. Due to the movement of the horse, participants exhibit changes in cognitive function, mood, and behavioral responses.

I wanted to take the time to let you know what a difference you make in the lives of the entire families involved with a special needs child. As a mother, when you first get that diagnosis, your world crumbles, and you wonder how you are ever going to do the best you can for your child.
Then one by one things start to fall into place and warm and wonderful people like you continue to come into our lives and give out of the goodness of your hearts for no good reason other than to be kind and to do something nice to help someone else. And these children may never quite show the gratitude they feel because words and thoughts and feelings are so hard for them to express.
But I know my child and I know that his life has been made better by your involvement and time and generosity and kindness. And all of the little details you had to think of and the effort it takes to make a program like this come together. All of the extra miles you have gone to in order to try and understand him and his disability better so that we can make this a success for him. Your open mindedness and patience. Your willingness to think of new ideas and to never give up.
I could never find the words big enough to convey my gratitude and overwhelming feelings of happiness and hope that you have brought to our lives through your generous gifts of time and resources.
I also want to thank you all for recognizing and including my other 2 children and treating them kindly, so often their lives also revolve around their special needs sibling, and it is so important for them to feel special too.
Thank you and May God Bless all of you like you have blessed all of us.
