Lesson Rules
- We ask the student be at least 10 minutes early to the lesson. If you need to cancel your lesson, please call at least 24 hours in advance. In case of illness, please call asap. If the lesson in canceled less than 1 hour before the start of the lesson, the client will be charged for that particular lesson time.
- All new students are required to have one private lesson to understand the rules of the Riding Center, learn safety, and learn the basic details about horses. We promise that this lesson is one of the most important for the safety of the rider and facility.
- Any beginner rider under the age of 8 will be required to only purchase private lessons. Again, this is for the safety of the student. If a 6 or 7 year old becomes advanced in their horsemanship skills, they may be eligible to take a semi-private lesson.
- All students and visitors will sign a Liability Agreement to be on the Rising Hope property.
- We encourage all students to spend volunteer time at the Riding Center to better their skills around horses. We ALWAYS welcome volunteers.
- Helmets will be worn at all times while managing your lesson horse

"Back In The Saddle"
Back In The Saddle, is a new program to Rising Hope. We are welcoming women over the age of 18 with horse experience to come out and ride together once a month. We just ask that you are able to handle your horse, and come to enjoy yourself with the company of other horse women. For the winter months, we will be meeting inside of the arena. Please be sure your horse is up to date on vaccinations and coggins before coming to ride with others. We will be meeting the last Saturday of every month from 1pm-3pm. We will have 10 openings available per Saturday. To bring your horse and ride, we ask for a donation of $10. If you will need a horse to ride, we are renting a limited number of horses for a donation of $20.00. Our first ride is scheduled for the 30th of January. Openings will fill up quickly, so be sure to call ahead to make sure there is enough room, we have to take a limited number during the winter months, 231.526.6353.
Please leave your green broke horses and your stallions at home. A liability form must be signed and on file before your first ride. We look forward to meeting new women in the area and of course "talk horse".
